I didn’t have time this weekend to write an events round up, but there’s plenty to do this week so below is an abbreviated listing with links for further info.
Tuesday – City Council Meeting
Wednesday – MacArthur BART Citizen’s Planning Committee
Thursday – Public Hearing on Paratransit Fare Changes
Also worth noting – on tap for Wednesday April 21 at 4:30, the Zoning Update Commission will
“Discuss and make recommendations regarding proposed Temporary Conditional Use Permit regulations. The ZUC previously considered this proposal on February 17, 2010.”
For those who missed the prior discussion, t-CUP’s are basically a way to allow more surface parking lots in the DTO.
Thanks for mentioning this – I didn’t realize this was coming back tomorrow. So annoying that it’s so early and impossible for working people to attend!
Okay, so there is no way I will be able to attend, but can someone explain to me why we need additional surface lots in DTO. On street parking is less than 50% utilized and surface parking lots appear to be equally empty.
It’s not possible to explain because there is no good reasoning for it – it’s absurd and counterproductive.
