Hello “Living in the O” readers! My name is Caitlin and I am a new resident here in the Bay Area. I’m here from Minnesota serving as an AmeriCorps Vista at a wonderful non-profit in downtown Oakland.
At Wardrobe for Opportunity, we support low-income individuals in the Bay Area in their journey to find work and move up in their jobs by offering professional clothing and other professional development resources. I love seeing the transformation that our clients go through after they have received clothing from us or after they call me with news of their new job!
WFO’s Trendsetter Campaign is going on right now and I’m excited for all of you to get involved! The campaign runs from June 14th – June 30th and we want people to “Set a Trend” by donating to our virtual wardrobe drive, volunteering at WFO, or telling your friends. Visit www.wardrobe.org/trendsetter.html to “Set a Trend” today!
As fashion enthusiasts, this is a great way to use your passion to support a local non-profit and fellow members of the Bay Area community. Want to see where your donation could go? Check out these before and after photos of WFO’s all-star clients:
Thanks to Rebecca for giving me this great opportunity to guest blog on Living in the O! And thanks to all of you for showing your support for Wardrobe for Opportunity!
